Aveeno Skin Relief Hand Cream- I bought this to help my dry skin deal with winter, and would probably repurchase, though not until next winter.  A drawback to this product is I feel like it didn't last me very long, and that's not because I was using it a lot.  The packaging made it look like I would get a lot more of the product than I actually got.

Bvlgari Scented Soap- Obviously there is no actual empty to post a picture of for soap, so I put up a picture of this wrapper in its place.  I liked this soap a lot more than I thought I would!  It didn't leave my skin dry and didn't have a lot of residue.  Also, when using the soap, the smell really grew on me.  My skin was lightly scented after using, but when just smelling the soap on its own, it was a little too strong for me.

L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB in Fair- I almost bought this BB cream in light, which thank goodness I received a free sample of the light one in a magazine and tried it out beforehand because the light color was WAY TOO dark on me.  I turned that awful orange color and had to wash it off of my face immediately.  Fair, on the other hand is the perfect shade for me.  It came out of the tube a white speckled color, but once applied, it changed color to match my skin tone.  Usually when I buy a product in the lightest color available, it makes me look ghastly and even more pale than I actually am.  This one didn't, and made it even made it look like I had some color!  I actually got a few compliments after using this...Someone told me that my make up looked nice, and someone asked me if I had been tanning a little and told me that I looked good!  I wore this every day until I used it up.  It felt light on my skin and gave me some coverage, but if you are someone who needs a lot of coverage, I wouldn't recommend this product for you.  I have already repurchased, and am interested in trying other BB creams as well.

Skin & Co Truffle Serum- I don't think this product did a darn thing for my skin.  The serum smelled good to me (though I could see how some would not like it!), I'll give it that, but there were no noticeable differences in my skin after using it religiously.  Another drawback is that the hole at the bottom of the product was too large.  When I would unscrew the cap, I wouldn't even squeeze the tube, and tons of the product just came rushing out.  They should really either change the consistency of their product or else change the design of the tube because this resulted in a lot of wasted product for me.

Sensual Amber Intense Body Butter from Bath and Body Works-  Just your basic body butter here, but the Sensual Amber scent is probably tied with my Twilight Woods as my favorite Bath and Body Works scent.

Whish Blueberry Shaving Cream- I really loved this product, and will buy some down the road when I can better afford such luxuries.  I just think that spending $20 is quite high for the full sized product, so I am going to hold off on buying for now.  This 25 mL tube was really only enough to use one and a half times.  I say one and a half because the 2nd time I used it, I only had enough for one leg!  Keep in mind that I am incredibly tall and leggy, so the average person probably got 2 uses out of it.   But, yeah...Loved the scent, the texture, and I just felt that it was an all around effective product.

Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing and Makeup Remover-  I wanted to like this product, I really did.  It's affordable and easily found at Target, plus it doesn't contain harsh chemicals.  I found that I broke out a lot more than I usually did when using this product, but I don't want to fully blame the cleanser because I was stressed from work and my coursework while using this product, so an outside factor could have been to blame.  Regardless, I just don't think I will give it another chance because I wasn't that impressed.

Have you used any of these products?  What did you think of them?

  1. I wish I would have known about the L'Oreal BB cream before I bought a tube in light. It oxidizes almost immediately and turns my face oompla-loompa orange! Your review of the fair made me think about giving them a second chance though (:

  2. I hope it works out for you! Yeah, the light did the same exact thing to me.
