Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub- I got that tiny sample in a Birchbox, and from the one (and a half, haha) uses I got out of it, I liked the product.  I'm partial to anything grapefruit scented, though.  I think it has a fresh smell, and it appeals to me more than the other citrus scents.  Since I had a lot of Birchbox points stored up, I decided to put them towards a full size tube of this daily facial scrub.  I can always use more facial scrub since it is something I use twice a day, and I want to test out this product over a longer span of time so that I can see how it affects my skin.

Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme- I won't go into too much detail on this because I've raved about this product already on here.  Let's just say it is one of my favorite products of all time!  Makeup companies would have to come up with something spectacular for me to even consider trying out another moisturizer in place of this!  The only drawback is the expensive price tag--I guess for $48 it better work wonders on your skin.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Temptation Sample- I enjoyed this fragrance which is described on the Victoria's Secret website of being a "tantalizing" mix of "passion flower, Moroccan jasmine, and blushing orchid."  While I did enjoy the sample, I would probably not buy the full sized bottle because it smelled good to me, but there are so many other scents I like more and would prefer to wear Heavenly by Victoria's Secret over this.

Avon Black Cherry & Nutmeg Hand and Body Lotion- This was a gift from the teacher I worked with during my student teaching.  I don't usually buy Avon products...I guess nowadays I just prefer products that I don't have to go "through" someone to buy because I feel like they are always pressuring you to buy more or to host a party, etc.  Anyway, I started using this throughout the winter and it wasn't strong enough to properly hydrate my dry skin, so I had to quit using it until the spring.  In the spring, this light lotion worked just fine.

Bath and Body Works Sparkling Pink Champagne Gentle Foaming Hand Soap- I got this sparkling pink champagne hand soap as part of a Black Friday deal at Bath and Body Works.  I usually do use Bath and Body Works hand soaps because most of them smell great and they are antibacterial--I always have one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom.  If I happened to see this hand soap in the store for sale, I would buy it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try to find this particular scent or anything.

Burt's Bees Super Shiny Shampoo and Conditioner with Mango- I have to review these two products together because I used them together.  As with many shampoos that are all or almost all natural, don't expect this shampoo to lather much.  I am okay with the whole not lathering thing, but I felt like I was using SO much product in just a single shampooing to get it all throughout my hair.  I do have to say that my hair was very soft after I used the shampoo and conditioner, BUT my hair wouldn't even last a full day without getting greasy.  This has never happened to me before with any other product, and I was surprised that I actually found not one, but two Burt's Bees products that just aren't doing it for me.  (I usually love everything Burt's Bees.)

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Hydro Gel Mask- This is the second time I have used a sheet facial mask.  (The first time was on a Korean Air flight to Australia.  You know how your face gets all gross when flying?  The flight attendants came around and offered everyone a sheet mask to refresh their skin.  The flight attendant even applied mine!)  I do have to say that the shape of the mask fit my face well unlike a sheet mask that I recently tried that did not.  My skin felt great after using the mask and I have now tried out three different brands of sheet masks and this one was by far the best.  I don't know if I would repurchase this particular mask because I'm still not over how it is made with snail slime...it just kind of grosses me out.  I will look for other Missha sheet masks to purchase that do not contain snail slime, though.

What are some of your recently used up empties?

  1. I like the aloe sheet mask by missha. It is really refreshing and moisturizing. I'd like to test the snail mask XD It seems that this works nicely from all the reviews I've read.

    1. I was going to ask you because you're an expert on Asian beauty products! I will have to try some aloe masks. I think you'd like the snail mask a lot.
