Happies & Crappies

September 13, 2013

Happies of the Week:

1) I got a TON of substitute teaching calls and got to sub three times this week.
2) My boyfriend and I found some time to watch some episodes Walking Dead Season 3, which I have been dying (pun intended) to see.
3) After working so hard all week from Saturday through Thursday, I finally have today off!  Thank goodness...I need some R & R.  I worked almost 60 hours this past week.
4) I got to "meet" my Snail Mail Collective partner, Gi who blogs over at The Hunt Life & she's super friendly and fun!
5) In one of the classes I subbed for, I got to reunite with several of the students that I student taught two years ago in kindergarten.  It was so nice to reconnect with them because I always wondered how they were doing.

Crappies of the Week:

1) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were so hot and humid in Ohio!  On Tuesday it was 94 degrees, which is all fine and dandy except the school I was subbing at had no air conditioning.  It was really like an oven in there and I bet the students felt miserable because I know I did by the end of the day.
2)   On Tuesday, I felt super exhausted because I had to sub and then work my other job, so I worked a total of 13.5 hours that day!  In the end, it was worth it, but I don't think I can handle multiple days in a week like that.
3)  I couldn't find the time to blog very much this week, but I hope to get in a few posts today. :)

What were some of your highlights/annoyances of this past week?

  2. Ugh! 90s is normal for us in SC this time of year, but the schools have AC. I'm actually student teaching this semester!

    1. Good luck with your student teaching! What grade are you placed in? Only some schools in Ohio have AC...I wish they all did!!

    1. I watched the first few episodes of Breaking Bad Season 1, and my boyfriend told me he didn't like it, so we haven't continued watching them. I've been hearing now that the show is awesome from multiple sources, so I might have to just start watching them solo!
