Some Grocery Store Treats

September 7, 2013
Lately when I've been going to the grocery store, I have just been picking up a few basic essentials to last me through the week.  Today I took the time to stock up on a ton of items, and decided to try out a few new things:

Green Mountain Wild Mountain Blueberry K-Cups- Blueberries are one of  my favorite fruits, so I couldn't pass up trying out this blueberry flavored coffee.  I was really looking for pumpkin spice K-Cups, but it's still a bit too early for those (either that or they're sold out), so I picked these up instead.  I hope they aren't just a seasonal item!

Berry Pomegranate Liquid Water Enhancer- The Meijer brand was on sale and cheaper than the Dasani Drops I had been wanting to try, so that's why I got opted for these.  Ever since I've been trying to make healthier choices, I have been really trying hard to drink plenty of water.  The time I struggle with this the most is at work because we get free pops and Icees.  I look around and see my skinny little twig co-workers drinking pop like it's going out of style so I think to myself, "What's one small cup?  I never have any at home."  If I want a cup of pop really badly, I'll just drink one...I'm not about totally depriving myself of anything, but I feel like I don't want one until I see everyone else doing it, which tempts me!  I think I'll be less likely to go for the pop at work if I bring the water enhancer with me for an extra burst of flavor.

Southern Butter Pecan International Coffee Creamer- I've been craving butter pecan ever since my partner, Ricci, from the Big/Little Partnership posted that she ordered a butter pecan flavored Frappucino at Starbucks.  I didn't make it to Starbucks today, but I figured that this is the next best thing. :)  For a pic of her delicious looking Frappucino, take a gander at her Ohio or Bust post.

Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo & Organix Acai Berry Avocado Shampoo- Lately my hair has been crazy...for about the past 4 months, it has been dry except for right above my ears and there it gets greasy!  This never happened to me before, and I keep switching brands of shampoo in order for this problem to stop, but I haven't found a new brand that I like yet.  There are been a lot of positive reviews about Organix, so here's to hoping!

What is a grocery store item that you're wanting to try?

  1. The Organix Shampoos sound interesting. I suffer from the same problem as you, dry hair at the ends and oily at the top, xoxo.

  4. I have tried Organix, they aren't bad. As far as sulfate shampoos go my fav is the Loreal intense moisture sulfate free shampoo. The butter pecan creamer sounds delish! I have a Keurig as well.

    1. I haven't tried the Intense Moisture one by L'Oreal, but have tried the Total Repair Restoring Shampoo by them. It was just okay, but I'll keep the one you suggested in mind if I'm not impressed with Organix.

    1. Oh, thanks for the info! I hope I'm able to find some, especially with the temperature drop later in the week. They'll be perfect for when it gets a little chillier.
