We all have our own guilty pleasures, and today I'll be sharing a few of mine.
**Gossip magazines- I just love relaxing with an issue of In Touch or US Weekly and reading about the latest celebrity gossip, seeing who is wearing what, looking at celebrities' wedding photos, and so forth. I'm conflicted here because part of me thinks, "WHO cares that Kourtney Kardashian stopped at Menchies with her kids?" The other part of me is entertained with this kind of useless information.
**Netflix- I know that I am not alone on this one. I don't think I should have to feel bad about watching a couple of episodes a week on Netflix. My problem is that when I like something, I binge watch shows and it sucks up my time. I could be doing something more productive, but nooo, I just have to find out what happens next on Pretty Little Liars. The shows I will admit that I have binge watched on Netflix include: Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Breaking Bad, and Parks and Recreations.
**Sweets- Desserts have always been a weakness of mine. I blame my genetics all four of my grandparents, my mom, and my dad all love their desserts. I don't know my cousins very well, but at a family event I just laughed because every single one of them took several desserts, as did my sisters and I. The only one in my family who isn't big on sweets is my younger brother, but he doesn't have a sense of smell which I think messes with his taste! My favorite guilty pleasure in this department is probably a Milky Way Dark candy bar.
You know you have sweet tooth problems when people tag you in pictures of their desserts when you aren't even with them! My friend tagged me in this and said, "Lisa, You would love this waffle...It's a Banana Foster Waffle. A warm Belgian waffle served with bananas and banana foster sauce...yummmmm."
**Essie Nail Polish- Essie makes the cutest colors of polish!! I like the way the bottles look and adore some of the names that they come up with for their polishes. I feel like I could have 100 bottles of Essie (don't worry--not close to that...yet) and still want the next shade they come out with in their latest collection. Like right now I'm coveting Romper Room and Fashion Playground from the current spring collection...
**Target- I think this is another pretty common one, but I do buy shoes, clothes, books, stationery, school supplies, music, groceries, necessities, toiletries, and makeup from here. I almost always see something I like when I'm in there, which is usually an item I did not anticipate leaving with!
**Online shopping- I discussed this a little already in my April Wallet Watch post, but online shopping is just so easy and is a big reason why I spend more than I need to! My favorite sites to buy from are: Amazon, Toms, Maurices, Forever 21, and Alloy. I bet I would save a ton of money if I cut up my credit card, but that would just be so inconvenient.
Here's where it starts getting a little embarrassing.
**The Twilight Series-Okay, I hated myself a little for reading these books, and I don't even know how much I enjoyed them. I just had to know how the series ended, so I kept reading them. Stephanie Meyer obviously did something right because I got addicted even though I didn't want to be.
**McDonald's- Judge away, but sometimes I'll stop at McDonald's for a shake, cheeseburger, and fries...not regularly or else I'd weigh 1,000 pounds, but...enough. I feel like it is "cool" to say you like Chipotle or Panera, and not so bad to say that you stop at Taco Bell or Arby's, but for some reason, McDonald's just seems like the worst fast food place to admit you kind of like from time to time!
**Coloring- Okay, maybe this has something to do with majoring in Early Childhood education, but even though I'm all grown up, I still love coloring. Just writing about this makes me want to go out and buy a coloring book...it's kind of therapeutic!
