When I was sixteen years old, I went to a foreign country for the first time. On this trip, I got an incurable case of wanderlust and, as they say, the travel bug bit me. However you want to describe it, I knew that I wanted to live abroad at some point in the future. That time came for me when I turned twenty and was able to spend a year in France studying. My experience in France opened my eyes and deepened my understanding of the world, but it also made me realize how much I embraced the expat lifestyle.
Nowadays I'm spending my sixth year living overseas, and I have no plans of stopping any time soon. Currently, I'm residing in Shanghai, China and will stay in the area for at least another year and a half. I'm lucky enough to be here with a few of my very best friends, who are also certified teachers like myself.
While I do enjoy blogging about my trips and teaching, I don't consider myself to be a travel blogger exclusively. I am also a lifestyle blogger, which basically means I like to write about day-to-day life, blogging, and whatever else suits my fancy. I have now been blogging for over three years, and am grateful to be a part of such a special community.
